 July 2010 - September 2010 newsletter

Get ready for our October 2010 - 4th Annual Quilter's Retreat Contact Julie Heinicka...... she is accepting 2nd quarter payments in April.  If you made a 1st quarter payment, it will be the same amount, if you haven't given a 1st quarter payment, please pay $135.00.

When: Oct 19th through Oct 22nd, Tue at 3pm to Fri at 3pm

Where: At Day Springs Episcopal Conference Center in Ellenton, FL.

How much: $90.00 per day double occupancy (includes all lodging, meals, assembly room for sewing, & immeasurable fun with your quilting buddies).

Day trippers Can't stay all the days or overnight?  Day trippers will be charged $10.00 toward the assembly room, meals will be extra if you want them.

Classes:  As in the past we will have some classes offered by some of our own experts.  These will be paid directly to the instructors.  Sign up & get supply list from the instructors. If anyone has requests for classes or offers to teach please let me know.  Classes are always optional.

Wed am - "Christmas Tree" workshop by Will Owens, $35.  change

Wed pm - "No Sew Photo Portraits" workshop by Pauline Salzman $45. change

Thursday all day - "One Block Wonder" workshop by Will Owens, $35.

Reservations & Payments:   I have spoken with many who signed up, to explain the need for a firm commitment.  We have to give account for the reservations & we will be held to that number. If we have no shows the club, by contract will be responsible for 80% of the no shows.  I know it is hard to commit to something that seems so far away, but think of it as a land cruise that you just put on your calendar, make 4 installment payments & when you get there the only thing you need is you wallet for those incidental quilt shop stops.

Perks:  And let me mention that the local shop owners have given us discounts & raffle prizes in the years past!  Come eat, sew, take a nature walk, check out the local shops, finish UFO's, or start something new & relax with your quilting friends!!!!  If your interested or have more questions give me a call, the reservation closure will be nearing soon.

Additional Info: An in depth description packet of the retreat/directions, etc. will be given out to the retreat quilters closer to the time of the retreat.  Note, transportation not included.
