I got pregnant my senior year of college 1983.  Not married, living with my boyfriend...I knew mom was going to be disappointed.  When I told her, I couldn't believe her reaction!  She said, "Oh Kelly".  I thought here it comes...  She said, "Oh Kelly, you don't even have a washing machine".  I couldn't believe it, a washing machine?  Yes, she explained that babies spit up all the time and I'm going to need lots of "blankets".  So I immediately started making quilts.  And the rest is history!
